Tribute to PC Andrew Harper

Abingdon Council News - Tue, 08/20/2019 - 15:35

THE MAYOR OF ABINGDON, CLLR CHARLIE BIRKS

The whole of the town was shocked and saddened to hear of the death of PC Andrew Harper, who had been based at Abingdon Police Station for many years.  Andrew lost his life in the line of duty, selflessly serving and protecting the public.  His death has come as a sharp reminder of the risks which the police take on our behalf every day.

Please see below that we have received from our local CAB Oxfordshire South and Vale Citizens Advice Bureau:

Cancelled flights or lost luggage? Know your rights - Citizens Advice

Airports and air travel have always caused difficulties and stress, but in the present age - with tight security and overcrowded terminal buildings - travellers have to deal with situations more fraught than ever before. To add to their problems flights are often delayed or cancelled, and suitcases vanish or turn up with items missing or damaged.
